So, what technically is a daemon? A daemon is technically your soul, the other part of you. You know how everyone talks about your "conscience", the voice that tells you "Don't do that!" or "That person is stupid" yadda yadda, that is your daemon.
Oh really? Tell me more: Be glad to. The name daemon comes from the book "The Golden Compass" and it's sequels "The Subtle Knife" and "The Amber Spyglass" written by Philip Pullman. In these books daemons are actually physical. As you know, in our world, they arn't, and merely reside in our craniums.
A daemon is not in any way a imaginary friend. You can not control what your daemon says or what he or she does. Your daemon is you, and in some way or another, they represent you. A daemon also takes the form of an animal. When ou are young, your daemon will switch forms, but when you become older, around the age of 13-16ish, they will settle into a form that represents you the best.
